Moondogg
comprise of bob derwood andrews and elizabeth westwood, who together once
made up the act westworld, who had the chart-topping single "sonic
boom boy". andrews was also a founder member of the band generation
x.
moondogg's sound is a blend of cool, southern slide guitar and riffs influenced
by andrews year of living in arizona, angst ridden vocals by westwood
and london style street beats from producer martin lee-stephenson.
the first album fat lot of good won
critical acclaim across the press and was made album of the month in some
magazines. the singles wonderfool, black
pain and nothings sacred were
all well-received, with singles of the week in "london's evening
standard", "news of the world" and "melody maker".
"gasoline rain" was used for the miramax hollywood film "slc
punk"and four tracks from the album were used on the award winning
canadian film "better than chocolate".
a second album "god's
wallop" is out now on D.O.R.
