The tuneful loops and catchy songs
of Switch (Kay Julian and Richard Gallon) dream up a critical mix of
white label and top ten pop appeal. With influences from triphop to
D&B to jazz to pure pop, Switch arrive at a soulful and fun place,
full of groovy hooks and happy endings.
Kay and Richard first played together in Chemical Plant, a side project
of Transglobal Underground. Richard went on to release two albums of
film soundtrack frolics as 'Funkturm', while Kay has collaborated with
artists as diverse as DJ Tasha Killer Pussies and Soul Coughing. Now
they have paired up to produce their own brand of pop, featuring Kay's
timeless and fluid vocals over Richard's inventive sampling style.
